"What's for lunch?"
Here’s a picture of my lunch at the factory today! You always wanted to see what I was eating for lunch at the factory! Not sure why, but you would always sent me a text whenever I was in China, “What’s for lunch today?” Maybe it was from the first time I’d ever visit a factory in China and I texted you, “I have no clue what I’m eating for lunch.” And you asked me to send you a picture of the food I was eating. Ever since then, you would always ask, “What’s for lunch,” whenever I was in China. The trip is going well so far, I had a productive day at the factory. We’ve been discussing ex-factory commits, PO and fulfillment processes, and I’m challenging some of their processes that I feel are taking longer than expected. (Yes, I’m cracking the whip like always!) Our first shipment to the DCs is happening tomorrow. How exciting!! My coworker and I will follow the shipment to Hong Kong for export to final destination. We’ve been joking with the factory people that we’re going to ride on top of the pallets in the truck all the way to Hong Kong, and they think we’re being serious!! Can you imagine when the shipment is going through customs inspection?! The customs officer opens the truck door, and we pull out our passports to go through customs! I don’t think that would go over very well!!
Anyways, I’m going to bed now since tomorrow will be a very long day; we also transit back to Hong Kong in the evening. I love and miss you!!
